Cameraman Mike Middleton (“SpikeyMikey”) was on the demolition team for the Preparation and ultimate sinking of HMAS Brisbane.
Mike was on the job from its inception and has a photographic record of the whole process which accompanies his very interesting talk.
Mike is a well known cinematographer and has been a foreign correspondent around the world with many specialties including Wildlife films in Africa and
many world events of international significance including working with kings, presidents, and even Princess Diana.
Mike has also been cinematographer for the famous Islands of the Pacific series and was also the underwater cameraman for the series which filmed the best dives around the Pacific. His experience is extreme. He is still a keen scuba diver. You will be thrilled to hear how he and a small team of specialists recorded and sank the famous Battleship “HMAS Brisbane”
