Shark Dives

The Shark Dives at UnderWater World give divers the exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with the endangered grey nurse shark as well as sand bar whaler sharks, wobbegong and white tip reef sharks. Divers are just centimeters away from the blotched fan tail rays, coachwhip rays, leopard rays, and myriad of pelagic and tropical fish.

You don’t need to be a certified diver to participate in the Shark Dives. A diving lesson is provided directly before the Shark Diving experience to allow divers to be comfortable breathing under water. This insures they are well prepared for the Shark Dive.

The Shark Dives are aimed at people who are comfortable in the water and have a minimum age of 14 years. The divers must complete a medical questionnaire before commencing the dive.

There is a maximum number of four divers in a group and the group is supervised at all times by a qualified, insured diving instructor.

The whole experience takes ninety minutes, of which thirty minutes is spent under water in the Shark Oceanarium at UnderWater World.

The Shark Dives can be conducted in any weather because UnderWater World is completely undercover.
