Learn to Dive Breakdown

TIMES & ITINERARY

The course comprises of 3 components; classroom, pool and ocean. What to expect during the four day program:

Day 1 (8am-5pm)

  • Meet and greet – you have a chance to meet the instructor, other students and Scuba World team members
  • Pool training sessions – this is the fun part, imagine being able to breath underwater. Imagine telling all your friends how peaceful it is underwater. No mobile phones, and no-one telling you what to do.
  • Paperwork sign off

Day 2 (8am-5pm)

  • Final exam (don’t stress out – it is multiple choice and is discussed as a group after completion)
  • Pool training sessions – during day 2 of the course the Instructor will focus on the skills that students need more practice with, as well as introducing some new skills and underwater obstacles.
  • The team at Scuba World takes an extra step when it comes to training. We have developed some additional training techniques to increase your diving ability. You will have to enroll in the course to find out what these are.

Day 3 (times vary depending on weather)

  • Reef training dives 1 and 2. Imagine the feeling when you decend the line and the beautiful underwater world appears, colorful corals, bright fish, large pelagics and a whole host of other marine critters. Please note: these are training dives, so remember that the main focus is on perfecting your skills, not looking at fish and corals.
  • Complete log books
  • De-brief about dives 1 and 2

Day 4 (times vary depending on weather)

  • Reef training dives 3 and 4. Dive 3 is a still a training dive, so remember that the main focus is on perfecting your skills. Dive 4 provides you with the opportunity to fully enjoy the experience of diving!
  • Complete log books
  • De-brief about dives 3 and 4
  • Presentation of certification cards
